It is with great sadness that we honor the life of C. Peter Guiliano, founder of ECG, http://ecglink.com/, and beloved father of Michelle, Co-Founder of Salt. Peter passed away on September 30th, 2017.
Peter was a wonderful, loud, expressive, creative, funny, generous man with a booming voice and he left a positive impact on everyone he met. An accomplished singer and actor, and later a successful communications strategist, he was an entrepreneur who built his empire - a company that is still going strong after almost 40 years. He was a mentor for Salt Consulting, often guiding us through his excellent storytelling. Three children and four grandchildren survive him.
I'm very sad that he and his daughter will never have their own cooking show - we who have witnessed the Italian-American opera of the two of them singing, and cooking together - arguing over every creative detail, remembering grandmothers and aunts in other kitchens - and always, always producing absolutely delicious, copious meals for sharing, count ourselves very lucky.
Peter cared deeply about his family, and his family feeling extended to his company. He always had a kind word for anyone he met on his travels, and a big tip for those working in service professions. He remembered what it was like to start out in life with little and work his way up. From the civil rights movement until the end of his life, he stood up for others - for justice, human rights, kindness, and ethical behavior. Peter was a good man and the world would be well-served if we live by his example.
Donations can be made in Peter's honor to his favorite charity,
